Legrand’s exhibition stand at the Rand Show this year, attracted more than 1 000 visitors over the ten day event, which was held at the Nasrec Expo Centre recently.
“Legrand participated in this prestigious show for the first time this year, as part of the South African operation’s 30th birthday celebrations,” says Luk Ivens, general manager, Legrand SA. “The main focus of our stand was to highlight Legrand’s range of innovative electrical products and systems, designed especially for the home environment and for commercial installations.
“Energy efficiency, quality power supply, optimum safety and stylish aesthetics are critical features in the advancement of all Legrand systems. Innovative designs and immaculate manufacturing standards meet exact user demands, also allowing for simple, safe and efficient installation and modification.”
On display at the Rand Show were Arteor switches, sockets and home automation devices - from simple stand-alone solutions, to complicated automation tasks and fully networked installations.
The flexibility of Arteor enables users to create their own scenarios, whether it is a cinema environment, subdued lighting with automatic closing of curtains, or the simple adjustment of a thermostat. Dimmers, lighting controls, scenario controls and multimedia touch screens, are key devices in this range.
Because crime is a growing concern, Legrand has integrated a reliable video door entry security system and video surveillance into the Arteor range. Other safety products include a miniature emergency lighting device, which automatically lights up in the event of a power failure and automatic infra-red switches that manage light and ventilation in passageways and dark areas. Coded keypads efficiently control and monitor access security.
Arteor provides an efficient solution to all requirements of architects, interior decorators, electricians and home owners who call for flexible, efficient, modern and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
Visitors to the stand expressed particular interest in the new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system that ensures continuity of service and provides reliable performance in terms of power and back up time. Legrand’s closed circuit television (CCTV) products also attracted attention at the show.
Legrand’s initiative to showcase the company’s electrical solutions, particularly to the end user, also encompasses shopping centre promotions and the establishment of specialist showrooms. Legrand Concept Stores display power distribution products, switches and sockets, residential and lighting management components, cable management and structured cabling, as well as connection products.
